Together ManyChat unequivocally and unanimously stands against violence, aggression, and war. The current attack on democratic values and people of Ukraine is appalling and disheartening. Our hearts go out to those affected including some of our team members.

Two weeks ago, on March 1, we made our position clear and announced a relief program for all our Ukranian customers and made ManyChat Pro free for all accounts based in Ukraine. Today we expand our relief efforts and extend the relief program until the end of this year (December 31, 2022).

Moreover, in an effort to support the broader cause beyond our customers, ManyChat is donating 100% of Instagram Summit ticket sales revenue to charity organizations to help relieve the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

Lastly, we are suspending all operations and new sales in Russia. As a US company with headquarters in San Francisco and tens of thousands of customers from 170+ countries around the world, we will continue monitoring the situation and complying with all laws, regulations and sanctions.

The announcement was made during F8 Refresh, Facebook’s annual developer conference. 

The opening of the Messenger for Instagram API to platforms is a watershed moment for brands, allowing them to access new functionality on Instagram (IG) for the first time on ManyChat. Instagram Automation allows brands to supercharge their Instagram marketing activities and engage its one billion-plus users for maximum business impact.

Instagram Automation by ManyChat also helps brands address the massive volume of customer-to-business messaging that exists on the platform; 400 million customer inquiries flow to businesses on Instagram daily. Automation will enable brands to automate their existing messaging efforts, saving time and human resources, while maximizing customer service, sales, and ad outcomes.

Some of the key features of IG Automation by ManyChat are as follows:

  • Keywords. Trigger messages, entire conversations, and business automations if an IG user messages you with a specific, pre-determined keyword or phrase.
